Backuppc virtual appliance8/29/2023 Also, use Macrium Refkect (free version) for which I have created a restore media (on CD). I'm not even sure that Windows 10 has a "boot sector" any more. The configuration doesn't mention anything about a "boot sector". I do have "rescue media" on a USB thumb drive. My backup includes everything on "disk 1": System Reserved, C:, "3 - None" (don't know what that is), and AOMEI Recovery Partition. However I've never verified it because I wasn't clear on how I could do that without risking corrupting my C: drive.Ĭan I plug in an external drive and restore to that in such a way as I could then boot from it and run with it as my C: drive? Is there an easier way to do this without risking my current C: drive? I've had Macrium Reflect backing up my C: drive for over a year now.
